pooh bear

over the weekend, i had to bake a winnie the pooh cake and cupcakes for somebody i baked for last year ...

i didn't really like how pooh bear turned out ... i think tigger's tale looks much better =D

for the cupcake toppings, i initially thought of buying a pooh bear cutter that i saw in daiso about 2 months ago ... i should have bout it back then coz when i went to daiso last week, i can't find it anymore =( so, i just got myself a bear cutter with a shape that is quite close to pooh bear's shape and improvised from there ...

happy birthday, mama!

it's my mom's 60th birthday today. and for this special day, i made these cupcakes for her. okay, technically, she baked the cupcakes and i helped her to decorate it =D

the big celebration is this saturday so this isn't really "the cake" yet. but she wanted to bring some cupcakes to share with the other folks in my kids kindergarten. so we did these cupcakes in the last minute.

care bears

lately, i've been hooked to the food network's food network challenges, specifically the cake challenges. it has inspired me to do more and get better in cake decorating. and indeed it has inspired me to be more ambitious with my cakes.

my latest creation was requested by a friend for the 1st bday of her little girl. and alas, she asked for a care bears-themed cake instead of a princess cake. i guess i can say this is my most ambitious cake, so far.

and this is my biggest critic ... and i guess it's obvious she's also my biggest fan =D
